Process for Ph.D. in New Zealand (Study & Work)
PhD Application Process
Ph.D. process in New Zealand is not similar to other Applications done for Masters & Bachelors programmes for International Students. The biggest advantage in doing PhD from New Zealand is that the International students are charged local New Zealand Fees, i.e. somewhere around NRs. 4,15,000 to Rs. 650,000.
To give you a brief idea about the process, we suggest a stepwise process to be followed by the student. Kindly go through the following steps and feel free to ask in case any clarifications are required.
What is the process for PhD programme in New Zealand?
Step 1.
The student has to go through the website of the Universities, search for the various PhD topics available in that particular University alternatively he has to find the nearest relevant topic of his interest.

Step 2. - Shorlisting of Research topic
From all the research topics provided by the Universities the student should or you on the behalf of the student should select a particular research topic of his interest. - Step 3.
Contact the Relevant Supervisor
The University websites provide information of different Guides and Supervisors for different topics according to the subject areas. The student needs to mail the related supervisor showinginterest in doing PhD under him/her. In this email the student needs to submit his Resume along with his/her research proposal of 2500-3000 words.
Step 4.
The research plan is approved
On the basis of Students Resume and research proposal as well as depending on the availability of the supervisor or guide, some positiveness or acknowledgement may be received by the student. On receiving the confirmation from the University the student can procees to the next step.
Step 5.
Student needs to send Application to the University through us.
At this step; we start with the regular application process.
Tuition Fee:
Student are charged Fee similar to domestic students for PhD which is in the range of NZ$ 5,700 - NZ$ 8,900.
Entry Criteria:
IELTS - 7 with no band less than 6.5 & Bachelors with Honors(4 year degree Preferable)+ Masters Degree(2 years).
